“Great family environment with excellent people! Very knowledgeable Instructors, that you can tell truly love what they do! Look forward to my classes each week!!”

Unstructured training time to drill what you are working on and roll with your training partners. Weekday mornings, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Open Mat is unstructured training time. There is no set lesson — you come in with something you want to work on, find a partner, and drill it until it is yours.
It is where technique from class turns into skill you can actually use. Most students use the time in three ways: repeating a move they learned that week, working a position they keep getting stuck in, and rolling live with people they do not normally partner with.
Our weekday morning session runs 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and needs a minimum of four people to run. Adult members also have free access to the weight room.
Your session, your priorities — with instructors on the mat if you want input.
Repetition on the one or two techniques you are actually trying to add to your game.
Full rounds at whatever intensity you and your partner agree on.
Start from the spot that keeps beating you and reset until it stops beating you.
Roll with people outside your usual class slot — different sizes, styles, and problems to solve.
Instructors are on the mat. Ask, and you will get an answer and a correction.
Adult members have free access to the weight room in the same building.
Open Mat suits anyone who wants more mat time than the class schedule alone provides.
The fastest way to improve is more rounds. This is the cheapest extra mat time you will find.
Specific preparation, hard rounds, and time to sharpen a game plan before a tournament.
If class moves faster than you want, this is where you slow a technique down and get it right.
Shift workers, remote workers, and anyone whose evenings are spoken for.

“You won't find a school around here that offers better training. Most schools nowadays are just black belt farms — they hand out black belts like candy. GMA is definitely the real deal, and I'm glad that we are a part of it.”
Your first class is free — no commitment, no pressure. Just show up ready to learn and our instructors will guide you through everything.
