“Great family environment with excellent people! Very knowledgeable Instructors, that you can tell truly love what they do! Look forward to my classes each week!!”

Competition training under Professor Spillmann for IBJJF and local tournaments. By invitation once you have a solid foundation.
The Fight Team is our competition program — students who have chosen to test their Jiu-Jitsu against people they have never trained with, on a clock, with a referee.
Training is more specific than a regular class: situational rounds, match strategy, and hard preparation built around the tournaments on the calendar. Master Rocian Gracie Jr.'s methods have produced world champions, and the same approach shapes how we prepare competitors here.
Membership is by invitation once you have a solid foundation. Competing is never a requirement — plenty of students train for years and never enter a tournament, and that is a completely legitimate way to do this.

Everything that separates training well from competing well.
Point structures, advantages, and how to build a match plan instead of just rolling harder.
Start down on points with ninety seconds left. Train the scenarios that actually decide matches.
Narrowing a broad game into a reliable, high-percentage sequence you can hit under pressure.
Consistent live training against resisting partners at competition pace.
Making your division safely, and having the gas tank to still be dangerous in the last minute.
Watching your own matches back with a coach is the fastest correction loop there is.
The Fight Team is a commitment. It is not for everyone, and it is not required.
Students ready to enter IBJJF and local tournaments with real preparation behind them.
Training partners who push each other well past what a regular class asks for.
Kids and teens who want to compete, prepared with the same structure and appropriate rules for their age.
Competition exposes exactly which parts of your game are real. Some students join purely for that feedback.
Certified, background-checked and Safe Sport trained. Classes here are taught by Professor Spillmann, his sons and his grandsons.

“You won't find a school around here that offers better training. Most schools nowadays are just black belt farms — they hand out black belts like candy. GMA is definitely the real deal, and I'm glad that we are a part of it.”
Your first class is free — no commitment, no pressure. Just show up ready to learn and our instructors will guide you through everything.
