Our academy is operated by three generation of family members who are current or retired competition and full contact fighters who are also world certified high level masters / instructors. All our staff members must pass a full background checks to qualify to coach or teach and we are "Safe Sport Certified" to teach children. Our unique programs and training classes are second to none and we strive to give the best to all our members. The GMA Team keeps winning top events.. KwanJangNim Spillmann’s ( Professor Spillmann) and his sons know how to create champions. The GMA academy is known for developing top students with great skill and strong defensive and fighting abilities. GMA students have multitudes of wins in Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. GMA’s master-level instructors are internationally certified in multiple martial arts. Professor Spillmann is an eighth-degree black belt in TaeKwonDo, who holds rankings in several martial arts and received his Black Belt from Rocian Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in 2000 who has taught martial arts in the United States and abroad for almost 40 years. The academy is registered with the International Brazilian JiuJitsu Federation / USA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation, International TaeKwonDo Federation, USA Boxing. USA TaeKwondo and the American Athletic Union.
KURT SPILLMANN WINS AGAIN - CAGE WARS

Grandmaster Spillmann’s youngest son Kurt has competed for years in traditional martial arts tournaments. He is fourth-degree black belt and a gold medalist in both Taekwondo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and on June 10th, Spillmann won at Cage Wars MMA in California.
Spillmann, a native of Gallatin, dominated the fight with head kicks body strikes. Spillmann was not struck once, ending the match in under a minute by forcing his opponent to tap out with a rear-naked choke.
The GMA academy is known for developing top students with academic excellence and strong defensive and fighting abilities. GMA students have multitudes of wins in Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA.

KURT SPILLMANN WINS

GMA Martial Arts Center Master Instructor Kurt Spillmann who is a 4th Dan black Belt in ITF, Kukkiwon TaeKwondo and a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, (under his father GM Spillmann) competed again this weekend in California Cage Wars and devastated his opponent with a TKO in under 20 seconds.
The fight started as Kurt Spillmann side-kicked his opponent and a boxing bout began. Kurt landed several punches causing his opponent to try to clinch. That is when Kurt Spillmann reversed it, landing his opponent on his back. Master Kurt Spillmann then landed 9 more punches ending the fight by TKO in under 20 seconds. His current record is undefeated and all fights have ended in under 40 seconds. This demonstrates the power of BJJ / MMA taught at GMA and the other martial arts taught at GMA Martial Arts in Gallatin TN.

Master Instructor Kurt Spillmann is a complete fighter and has won dozens of competitions in TaeKwonDo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; he also graduated MTSU with a degree in business and is a complete martial artist.
